HIPAA Compliance
Skills Unlimited conforms to standards for privacy of individually identifiable health information set by the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, Office for Civil Rights, under OCR/HIPAA Privacy Regulations (October 2002).
Individually identifiable health information of Skills Unlimited’s clients will be kept confidential and will be disclosed, shared, or transmitted only for the continued care, treatment, and rehabilitation of the client, and only with the individual’s specific permission under HIPAA rules.
Electronically transmitted information for billing purposes will be encoded and protected and will be limited to the minimum amount reasonably necessary to achieve the purpose of the disclosure.
