Partners With Local Industry
The Industrial Workshop at Skills Unlimited provides both an array of contracted services to our local business community and work opportunities to a large group of individuals who, due to the nature of their disability, are unable to work in a competitive environment.
Each participant receives remuneration for all work performed, based on their production rate. This program, which is closely supervised, allows the participant to learn and practice appropriate work skills, tolerance and behavior. If the work performance of the participant improves, it allows them the opportunity to transition to either supportive or competitive work programs.
We have modern equipment necessary to provide high quality results in shrink-wrapping and heat-sealing products. Light assembly, collating, packaging and document preparation are all done to our costumer’s specifications and delivered in a timely manner. Our ability to perform a high volume of work in a short period of time has proven to be a valuable asset to our partners in a private industry.
We have ample storage space in our warehouse and a large workshop area. This affords us the flexibility to work on a variety of contract work simultaneously. Our supervisory staff and hard working consumers take pride in completing each job while meeting the quality standards our costumers expect.
Our loading dock area is able to accommodate large tractor-trailers for the pick up and delivery of raw materials and finished goods. Skills Unlimited also has its own truck to provide local service for smaller loads.
