Skills Unlimited Job Placement Participant Honored
OAKDALE, NY - July 25, 2006 - William Woodward has been a Skills Unlimited participant since 2003. He joined the Skills Automotive training area to obtain the technical skills to become an assistant automotive technician. During his training William learned the necessary skills to repair and service automobiles.
With the assistance of the job placement counselor, Jennifer Aebly, he was able to obtain a position in the automotive field. William was placed in a job in 2004 at City Tires in Copiague. Since he began he has reached his goal as an assistant automotive technician. His hard work has been recognized and commended. He has received verbal praise and received two salary increases.
Since William has reached his goal he has moved to our extended program for follow along services from Skills. This requires him to meet with a job coach twice a month. He continues to do well at his job and looks forward to further success in the automotive field.
We at Skills Unlimited would like to congratulate William on his success and hard work. He has overcome many obstacles and continues to strive for excellence. He is a true success story and an outstanding employee. He is an excellent role model and an inspiration to everyone who knows him.
